1. No data collection

BabyNames is a static website that runs entirely in your browser. There is no backend server, no database and no analytics software. We do not collect, store or transmit any personal data.

2. Local storage

Two pieces of information are stored in your browser's local storage, and nothing more:

• Your shortlist — the names you've saved with the heart button.
• Your theme preference — whether you use light or dark mode.

This data never leaves your device. Clearing your browser storage (or visiting in a private window) will remove it. We cannot see or access it.

3. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or third-party cookies of any kind.

4. Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Standard server logs may record basic technical information such as the page requested and an IP address, as is typical for any website hosting. We do not use this information to identify or profile visitors.

5. Third-party links

Our footer links to other free tools. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

6. Children's privacy

BabyNames is a general-purpose tool and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
